"One of the Good Ones" was the first poem I ever wrote; our sons
were down in Oklahoma, and our eldest son Severin had bought a 3
year old colt down there and brought him home.
We'd only had him about six months when he colicked on us. It was
pretty hard on Severin and myself. A couple of days after, I
picked up a pen and paper and just started writing.
Since then I've written many different poems for different people
and occasions, and each one has its own special significance.
